Gobos
Gobo ("go between") patterns are used for a variety of purposes in theatre, television and other performing arts environments. Where budget or stage space is a consideration, they are frequently used to complement, or even replace, scenery.
Designs are etched in thin, durable stainless steel that can be trimmed with a scissors to shoptapnham.com fit the pattern holder. When slipped in the pattern slot of an ellipsoidal, a crisp image is projected onto the stage. Over twelve hundred standard steel and glass pattern designs are available through Stage Technology. Custom steel, custom glass and standard glass patterns are available as well. Texture and shading will enhance any lighting design, and Rosco offers more than a 1000 standard designs for doing so. Adding on to the widest range of standard steel gobos designs, Rosco has developed a variety of unique glass gobo types that provide designers with all new levels of creativity in their projects.
- Steel "A" Size Patterns by Rosco (round)
These round patterns have a 3" image within a 4" diameter metal disc. Designed to be used with ETC S4 ellipsoidals (except Jr), plus most 4.5", 6", 8" & 10" ellipsoidals. Also can be used in Lycian Midget Followspots. - Steel "B" Size Patterns by Rosco (round)
These round patterns have a 2-3/8" image within a 3-3/8"" diameter metal disc. Can be used in all fixtures that use size "B", plus the addition of pattern rotators by Gam and Rosco. - Steel "M" Size Patterns by Rosco (round)
These round patterns have a 2" image within a 2-9/16"" diameter metal disc. Commomly used in ETC Source Four Jr, Altman 3.5" Ellip, Lycian Starklite II and others.

If putting into Altman 360Q Special order a 79mm (no additional charge) Rosco's Colorizer Patterns can be used to create stunning multicolored projection effects. They fit theatrical ellipsoidal fixtures that accepts the Rosco "Std B" size glass patterns, (maximum wattage 1000 watts). Colorizers™ can be used alone to achieve colored projections or paired in a pattern holder with a stainless steel pattern for new dramatic effects. Suddenly a leaf breakup has added depth and color and a typical abstract pattern paired with a colorizer has a unique look.
